About Plaxis

It is our mission to supply our customers with the best resources, which will enable them to solve complex geotechnical modelling issues in an efficient way.

On the one hand we do that by developing, supplying and supporting Plaxis software, the world’s leading software tools for geotechnical engineering based on the finite element method.

On the other hand we share knowledge with customers and other partners through our knowledge transfer program to educate and help them solve those complex issues. A wide variety of courses, seminars, workshops, papers, reports, high-skilled technical support and expert services are at their disposal.

Philosophy

We believe that geotechnical engineering (geo-engineering) can be improved by using advanced calculation and simulation techniques based on the Finite Element Method.

We want to contribute to this improvement by bringing advanced scientific models and numerical methods within reach of the geotechnical engineering practice and offer the scientific world a set of software tools to enable model and theory verification.

This will be beneficial to our customers because they will be able to calculate, simulate and engineer more complex geotechnical constructions in a more efficient and accurate manner leading to lower risks and cost.  

To fulfil this role we need to stay ahead of future modelling requirements and therefore we spend considerable efforts in investigating promising scientific developments as well as interviewing members of the geotechnical engineering profession to discover their future needs.
