PLAXIS 3D 2011 Released

The new version of PLAXIS 3D, the 2011 version, has been released. Besides the features which you have come to know and expect from PLAXIS 3D, this new version also has many new features, and improvement of old features compared to the 2010 version.
PLAXIS 3D 2011 contains numerous new and improved geometry features to optimize the workflow such as;
- The shape designer
- Enhanced import functionality
- Snap-to functionality
- Additional extruding facilities
PLAXIS 3D 2011 also has even more visual enhancements including;
- Inspecting and problem detecting tools
- Output visualization during calculation
- Improved graphic performance
Furthermore PLAXIS 3D 2011 offers various new analysis and calculation tools such as;
- Steady-state groundwater flow
- New parallel solvers
- Surface contraction e.g. for tunnels
- Anisotropic geotextiles
- The new 3D Dynamics module
The 3D Dynamics module is an extension to PLAXIS 3D, and offers the tools to analyse the propagation of waves through the soil and their influence on structures.
