New Release: PLAXIS 3D 2011.01

The first major update of PLAXIS 3D 2011 has been released. This update includes amongst others the new 3D Dynamics module.
The 3D Dynamics module is an extension to PLAXIS 3D, and offers the tools to analyse the propagation of waves through soil and their influence on structures. This allows for the analysis of seismic loading as well as vibrations due to construction activities.
Other new features include:
- Allow explicit specification of the reference point of surface loads and surface prescribed displacements;
- Select materials and water levels directly in the tree in a combobox;
- "Edit" menu item in the popup menu for easier access to specific editors, like the Material Database and the dynamic time history
- Enhanced Mindlin plate / shell elements.
